About Us

Principal's Welcome

Mrs Bursey with students

Welcome to St Clare's

Greetings to all,

At St Clare’s school we aim to provide a Catholic secondary education for girls in Years 8-12 who would like support to make a positive change in their life.

Our purpose is to re-engage students in learning by providing motivating educational and life skills programs as we empower them to become responsible adults.

The school embraces the charism of the Good Shepherd Sisters, who founded this school in 1956 and moved to the Lathlain site in 2003 which now has beautiful facilities that are purpose built to create a beautiful, safe and caring environment.

The school offers varied learning experiences which includes focused teaching on literacy and numeracy to support the Western Australian Curriculum for Years 8-10.  Students in Years 11-12 study Courses and Certificate Courses to prepare them for their graduation, further study and the workplace.

The transition program for 2016 will provide a variety of skill development workshops and excursions to enable the students to become confident and independent young people.

The Student Support Team work with the girls through variety of activities which build resiliency and self-esteem – they also have a lot of fun. We want to empower our students through their engagement in education and training so they fulfil their own educational and career goals and also have the personal skills and motivation to participate positively in Australian society.

The staff and volunteers of the St Clare’s community are fortunate to be part of this vibrant, caring school and to support the girls as they start the journey of making a positive change to their school and personal life.
