Angelico Exhibition 2018

Talia with her painting

This year’s Angelico Exhibition of visual arts has once again proven to be a wonderful showcase of the talented Catholic school students from Years 7 – 12.

Over 155 pieces of artwork were submitted for this year’s Exhibition.

St Clare’s School was proudly represented by Talia Nicholson Yr 9 whose artwork provoked very favourable and positive comments from guests. Talia’s artwork is titled ‘Believe in Me’. Her theme explores the journey of a young woman who is looking to the future and leaving the mess of war, destruction of environment behind her and becoming a future citizen of the world.

The official opening ceremony was on Tuesday, 14th August.

We had the opportunity to view the exhibition on arrival in the lobby of the Forrest Centre Perth and were greeted by the idyllic sounds of Corpus Catholic College Senior Music Students, host school for the evening.

Attendees were then invited to the outdoor space at Rigby's for the official presentation of the awards.

The Most Reverend Don Sproxton, Auxilliary Bishop of Perth, officially opened and blessed the Opening Night. John Aldous, Chairman, Catholic Arts welcomed distinguished guests, Principals, Art Teachers, Parents and Students to what proved to be a wonderful celebration of the impressive artworks on display.
