St Clare's community were delighted to celebrate International Women's Day this week.

#BalanceforBetter is the theme for this year's International Women's Day, which is observed each year on March 8. The 2019 initiative is aimed at gender equality, a greater awareness of discrimination and a celebration of women's achievements, according to the International Women's Day website.

We all gathered before morning tea to watch a short inspirational video which celebrated the role of women, and then joined together in prayer to pray for all the women in our lives. This was followed by a special morning tea which was much appreciated by all the staff and students.

To enhance the celebration, many of the staff and students wore something purple, which is the official colour that is prescribed for International Women's Day.

We are very proud of all the women who both established and maintain our school and also the many girls who have become part of us over the years.

You go girls!
