Workplace Learning Term 3

Workplace Learning has come to an end for another year and our Year 11 and 12 students who participated are to be commended on the excellent evaluations they received. 

End of term excursion to Optus Stadium

Our end of term excursion was definitely following the Eagles flavour of the month. The whole school met outside Optus Stadium for a shared lunch, followed by a guided tour of the stadium.

Eagles decorate the pavement outside St Clare's

There was a great flurry of activity outside St Clare's and Laika Coffee Shop, as the Eagles tried to build support for their Preliminary Final appearance against Melbourne by colouring in the pavement with blue and yellow chalk.

Fairy Godmothers' Popup Shop

Once again our lovely Fairy Godmothers have spoilt our students with an abundance of clothes, shoes, toiletries and accessories in their unique popup shop.

End of Term 3 Awards

Congratulations to all those who won awards at the end of Term 3, especially the winner of the Irene Green award and the winners of the CARE awards.

R U OK Week

ST Clare's School has been holding an R U OK? week and encouraging all students and staff to ask each other R U OK?

Westcoast Eagles and Fever visit St Clare's

Representatives from both Westcoast Eagles and Westcoast Fever came to our regular Friday sport session and talked to our students and then joined in some games with them.

Congratulations, Faith, on becoming a Queen's Guide

Congratulations to our Year 12 student, Faith, who has achieved the status of Queen's Guide. The Queen's Guide award is the peak achievement in Girl Guides for girls aged 14-18. 

Group Activities August 2018

For Group this term the students have been participating in three different activities to strengthen their social skills and to learn new strategies for their well being.

Book Week

The creative abilities of both students and staff was on show as St Clare's celebrated Book Week in style.

Angelico Exhibition 2018

This year’s Angelico Exhibition of visual arts has once again proven to be a wonderful showcase of the talented Catholic school students from Years 7 – 12. 

St Clare's Day 2018

St Clare's community gathered at the Catholic Education Office Chapel to celebrate our Feast Day (which actually falls on August 11). We joined with the Good Shepherd Sisters to celebrate the Eucharist in the Chapel of St Michael of the Archangel.

Lemonade Stall - Cherry

Our first Lemonade Stall for the year was hosted by Cherry this week. The name of her stall was "Freshly Pressed Lemonade" and her slogan was "Sunshine, Lollipops and Lemonade".

Year 10 Careers Information Day 2018

This week we had the pleasure of introducing our Year 10 cohort to the Course Selection process for Year 11. We were lucky enough to have speakers from Visn, South Metro Tafe and Murdoch University along with current and past students who are accessing services through these organisations and could speak of their personal experience.

Pamper Day 2018

St Clare's students once again took the opportunity to be spoiled as they celebrated Pamper Day, an annual event where we all just take time to chill out and take a little extra care of ourselves.

Pizza Parlour by Natasja

Our first Pizza parlour for 2018 was held this week, as Natasja tempted us all with some fabulous varieties of pizza.

Town of Victoria Park NAIDOC lunch

The students and staff from St Clare's were invited to the NAIDOC Week lunch and tree planting by the Town of Victoria Park.

META Art Exhibition

St Clare's School congratulates Bek from Year 11 on her selection in this year’s META exhibition in the highly competitive 2D category.

St Clare's School teams up with Shopfront

St Clare's students and staff are teaming up with Shopfront to help produce meals for those in need.

St George's Art Exhibition 2018

St George's Art has become one of the premier annual events in art education in Western Australia, attracting schools from all sectors. The exhibition opened on Thursday 19th of July to an appreciative number of invited guests and Talia proudly represented St Clare’s School with her beautiful artwork titled ‘Believe in Me’.

St Clare's community welcomed Aunty Marie and her daughter Chelsey to help us celebrate a belated NAIDOC Week.

Good Shepherd Day 2018

St Clare's Community was delighted to welcome back the Good Shepherd Sisters on their feast day as we celebrated our school origins.

Parent Afternoon Tea

On Tuesday 13 March 2018 the school welcomed parents, guardians and members of the St Clare's community into the school for afternoon tea.

International Women's Day

St Clare's traditionally celebrates International Women's Day each year with a short prayer and reminder of its significance, followed by some lovely cup cakes for morning tea.

Work Place Learning Term 1

Today saw the beginning of the Workplace Learning Placements for seven of our St Clare’s Year 11 and 12 students.

Pancake Tuesday

Shrove Tuesday , the day before Ash Wednesday and the start of the Lenten season was celebrated by the entire St. Clare's School community with the tradition of eating pancakes.

West Coast Eagles visit St Clare's

St Clare's School was the place to be if you were an Eagles' supporter this week. The school was very fortunate to be visited by a group of seven young men who discussed both football and life opportunities with the students and staff.

Instep Induction

On Wednesday the 7th of February we took a small group of students to the ‘New Student’s Induction Seminar’ for Workplace Learning.
