Students of all faith, race and cultural beliefs are welcome and respected at St Clare’s School. As a Catholic Christian school, we share some simple prayer time and rituals that are particular to our faith tradition.
We also celebrate a number of special occasions in our spiritual history and calendar. Important festivals such as Christmas (the birth of Jesus) and Easter (the death and resurrection of Jesus), along with the seasons of preparing for these, are commemorated at St Clare’s. Additional to this are some anniversaries that are specific to our Good Shepherd history; one such occasion is Good Shepherd day – the anniversary of the Good Shepherd sisters arriving in Australia. St Clare’s feast day, August 11th, is the school feast day. The whole school gathers with the Good Shepherd sisters at our home-chapel for Mass, and a celebratory meal together.
